What we are building
Mentaro is an AI-powered technical interview preparation platform for software engineers who need a clear path from their current knowledge to the expectations of a particular role. A preparation goal brings together the target position, seniority, technology stack, and interview date. Mentaro uses that context to organize a program around topics, target depth, and reusable question cards.
Instead of treating every subject as equally important, the program gives each topic a deliberate place in the learning plan. Technical practice sessions ask the learner to formulate an answer before making a self-assessment. Difficult questions return through spaced repetition, while progress and knowledge gaps remain visible within the preparation goal.
When a concept is unclear, AI-assisted explanations provide a focused way to study it without leaving the session. This connects planning, practice, explanation, and review in one workflow. The product is initially focused on the needs of middle and senior software engineers, including backend, frontend, full stack, and DevOps specialists preparing for technically demanding roles.
Why we exist
Technical interview preparation is often fragmented across large question lists, articles, videos, personal notes, and generic flashcards. The learner must decide what matters for a role, how deeply to study each topic, and when to revisit weak areas. That overhead makes it easy to collect resources while losing sight of the actual interview goal.
Mentaro exists to make preparation intentional. The product starts with the role and timeline, keeps the hierarchy of preparation goal, topics, and cards visible, and turns self-assessment into the next practical learning step. AI can suggest and explain, but the learner remains in control of the program and confirms their own progress.

Software engineer and product builder with 20 years of experience turning complex business requirements into reliable systems. His work spans backend development with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, enterprise process automation, data-intensive applications, complex SQL, and performance optimization.
His engineering experience covers scalable backend services, microservice systems, REST and WebSocket APIs, event-driven workflows, and integrations with external platforms. It also includes payment and subscription infrastructure, billing lifecycles, webhooks, retries, automated testing, containerized delivery, and CI/CD for software where correctness and maintainability matter.
